| Work at Shofuso Volunteer Opportunities  Volunteers are very important to the Friends of the Japanese House and Garden. We welcome you to join our staff. We have many areas in which your expertise is needed. Below are some of the opportunities. * Tours: Guiding tours of the House and Garden * Special Events: Helping with setup, production and cleanup at spring, summer and fall events * Visitor Services:Greeting visitors, taking admissions, and answering the phone * Garden Maintenance: Cleaning, trimming and weeding the Japanese-style garden * Collections: Registering and cataloguing the collection * Gift Shop:Setting-up and staffing the shop on and off-site * Office: Typing, filing, data entry, and preparation of mailings * Public Relations:Distributing promotional information * Speaker's Bureau:Presenting programs to community groups * Education: Producing teacher training workshops and materials * Volunteers: Training and coordinating volunteers If you would like to participate in any of these areas, please call the office at 215-878-5097 or click here for additional information. |
